Cumin Spiced Black Quinoa with Hemp Seed
Ingredients: 1 Clove Garlic (chopped fine)
1 tbs Ginger (chopped fine)
2 tbs Ground Cumin
1/4 cup white onion (diced)
1/2 small carrot (diced)
3 sprigs of Asparagus (sliced)
1/2 cup of Quinoa (black or white)
1/4 cup of Naturally Splendid Shelled Hemp Seed
Directions (quinoa) : Heat in a large deep skillet over meduim heat 3 tbs of olive oil.
Add quinoa, ginger, garlic, cumin & onions then stir constantly until grains are separate.
Stir in 2 cups of water or vegetable stock & 1/2 teaspoon of salt. Bring to boil, add
vegetables (carrots, asparagus, califlower) & hemp seeds. reduce heat until liquid is
absorbed. Cook quinoa for 12-15 mins or until fluff with a fork. Garnish quinoa w/more
hemp seeds.
As a variation, you may use different vegetable in this dish such as squash, broccoli or peppers.
Cilantro & Hemp Oil Raita
Ingredients: Handful of Cilantro (chopped fine)
1/2 tbs Ground Corriander
1 tbs Lemon Juice
1/4 Cup Naturally Splendid Hemp Oil
2/3 Cup Plain Yogurt
Salt & Pepper
Directions: Place all ingredients together into a bowl and wish together until mixed. Once throughly
mixed pour cilantro & hemp oil raita around your cumin spiced black quinoa.
