Vegan Hemp Pesto

Pesto is a punch of umami flavour in your mouth, there is no doubt it is a huge crowd pleaser. Use it as a garnish or sauce to create the ultimate savoury meal. Our vegan friendly recipe (no parmesan required here!) is an easy way of getting superior omega nutrition while enjoying your favourite food.

Ingredients

  • 1/3 cup NATERA™ Hemp Seeds or NATERA™ Himalayan Salted Hemp Seeds
  • 2/3 cup hemp seed oil or olive oil
  • 3 to 4 large cloves of garlic
  • 1/2 cup nutritional yeast
  • 1 bunch fresh basil leaves
  • A pinch of salt to taste (skip the salt if using salted hemp seeds)

Preparation

1. Combine in a processor and pulse until coarsely blended.
2. Store in the fridge as use as needed.

Tips

This pesto makes any sandwich a dream come try and any plain scrambled eggs a breakfast success. Add fresh vine tomatoes and this pesto has met its heavenly match.
